I forgot to post this picture yesterday Matthew and Miko were very quiet, Too quiet if you know what I mean. I looked over the couch to see that Matthew had taken down my empty bowl of Chili and the entire bag of crackers. He and Miko had a feast!

Things have been crazy around here. We are trying to decide the best way to get to DC. Well we know we have to drive, but do we all drive together and sell Bens truck or do we drive the both vehicles so we know that Ben has reliable transportation when we get there? Bens latest idea is to do a partial DITY move. We rent a trailer to pull behind the truck, get both vehicles and the trailer weighed empty then load both up with as much heavy stuff that we are going to bring, then reweigh both. They pay you to do this per pound. Is it really worth the hassle? Then I think well it would be nice to have some of our stuff there with us. According to the housing office we should be able to get a house the same or next day upon arrival. Then the next question, do we get the kids a DVD player for the car? Well I think this will be a life saver. 4 1/2 days with board kids. Ben thinks they can just look out the windows to keep themselves occupied. Did I mention I will be driving the van alone with the kids and dog? We have to also figure out when we want the movers to come and try to coordinate this with the trailer. This is becoming a big pain in the you know what.
The kids are very excited to move. Scottie wants to go now. Sydney's main concern is if we are going to bring her pajamas. Out of all the things her pajamas. This girl keeps me on my toes. Today Scotties friend Jasmine came over after school. They all played so nice together. The sat right down and wanted to draw. Scottie and Jas used a stencil to draw sailboats. Poor Syd had no idea how to trace, but she sure did try. I heard the kids go OH Sydney that great thats beautiful. I think they are talking about her picture which at first they were. Sydney has learned how to show off. I go to the table to see her picture and this is what I find:

Sydney decided that she didn't like the stencils to much even thou they fight like crazy over them, but she loves makeup and painting hert face with markers! At least we had enough smarts to buy markers that wash off.

Yesterday Ben got the word that he is being reassigned to the Pentagon. The first thing that went through my mind was utter fear. Now that I have researched the area and the base that we will live at I am okay with this move. I feel so bad for Ben he has been working really hard so he can apply for Officer training School. He was going to apply in June. Now that he has been selected for a non-volunteer 3 year controlled tour he cannot apply for 2 1/2 years. Basically that means that he was selected to go the Pentagon, he has no say, its a 3 year tour. He is there for the entire 3 years. I hope it works out for him. I just wanted to post quickly and let everyone know whats going on over here. I will try to keep everyone posted, but right now we have a lot to figure out.

After month of trying to get Sydney to get her ears pierced, she did it on Friday. I had taken her Thursday and she chickened out. Friday she seen her friend Allie get it done and after a few promises like getting Cinderella the movie, she did it. We kinda tricked her. The girl asked if she could clean her ears, the she drew a picture on her ears. While all this is being done with Sydney on my lap Ben is quickly filling out all the paper work. I kept Sydneys mind off it by looking at the pretty belly rings that were next to our chair. The second girl came over and they asked if they could use their "special" machine to look at the pictures they drew. Sydney happily agreed. Looking straight ahead at Allie behind an ear ring stand Sydney laughed. Then 1~2~3~AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Sydney screeched. Then she went swinging at her ears nearly knocking the ear ring out. I held her arms while the girls put the backs on. Then she was done she ran right over to Allies mom Jamie and wanted to look at the ear rings. Ben said he felt bad because she had the look of betrayal. Yeah I guess she was tricked. She now says that it didn't hurt it just scared her. She actually wants another set. Yeah right Syd. Till tomorrow... Have a good night!
